Our Story
In 2018, I became one of the youngest Superior Court Judges in the State of California. I thought achieving my career dreams would fill the emptiness I felt inside my whole life, but no matter what success I achieved or material wealth I accumulated, the insecurities I felt about myself never went away.
In 2021, a childhood friend tragically took his own life, leaving me utterly shocked as I had no idea about his battle with depression. The weight of guilt consumed me, as I wondered if I could have made a difference had I known. Supported by my loving wife and children, I embarked on a transformative journey to become the best version of myself, not only in terms of physical health but also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I sought to find the one missing piece that would make me feel complete and whole.
My journey led me to Peru in 2022, where I crossed paths with a man named Eric. Despite the number of challenges life had thrown at him, Eric radiated an abundance of love and light. After a week of bonding and sharing our life stories with one another, he said to me something that I will never forget. He said that I reminded him of a Spiritual Samurai who was able to help others defeat their demons with LOVE. In that profound moment, I realized that the special thing I had been looking for my whole life to complete me, was already within me.
Our Mission
The creation of the Spiritual Samurai Brand in 2023 pays tribute to all individuals grappling with life's challenges and trials. It serves as a reminder that you are safe, you are not alone, and you are loved. Even in the midst of battles with depression, anxiety, addiction, insecurities, or the burden of negative self-perceptions, we can't defeat our inner demons with hatred, anger, or fear. It's time we join together to spread positivity and slay our demons with LOVE.
We believe that a meaningful life comes from growing and giving, so a percentage of all proceeds is donated to suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
